The adapted bicycles allow users to enjoy an adapted leisure activity with clear therapeutic, cognitive and motor benefits. They offer the chance to have a fun and relaxing time in the company of others and in contact with nature. Because of this, aside from being a great pastime for young people with disabilities, they are also perfect to enjoy a fantastic day out with dependent people of any age.
You can see an example of how much fun can be had through this activity in this video. It was recorded by Anneke, who came to the LKF Centre a few days ago with a group of dependent elderly people, so that they could enjoy the adapted bicycles by the sea.

Marretje, Mia, Marijke, Anke, Gerard and Lolita rode around the promenade of San Juan beach and then enjoyed a wonderful meal on a day they described as beautiful.
We hope that many more organisations that work with dependent people come to the LKF Centre to enjoy this wonderful therapy on wheels.
