We are all aware of the terrible moments that entire families in the Valencian Community are experiencing as a result of the extreme weather in the region, and some of the people who are most affected by this awful situation are the families who have a child with severe multiple disabilities.
These people need assistance around the clock and are the most vulnerable when their family loses their home and their means of transportation.
At the Lukas Foundation, we believe that we can support them by contributing our own grain of sand, which is why we have launched a call for help to raise funds for some of these families. We are already in communication with affected families who have lost their homes or who need a break in order to tend to other needs.
To this end, as of this weekend, we are offering the free room we have in our assisted-living facility in San Juan de Alicante.
To cover three months of care we need to raise a total of €17,800. Any financial contribution will be much appreciated as it will help us to cover the cost of each temporary stay.
