The challenge posed by severe multiple disabilities is one that everyone faces.

Doing the Camino de Santiago (the Way of St James) pilgrimage involves far more just pedalling through each leg. It requires many hours of previous logistical preparation, many people working with love and dedication throughout each leg and the remainder of each day… and a number of brave families who took on a challenge that almost no one believed they could achieve. It is all for them!

The 3 legs of the Portuguese Camino de Santiago cover almost 100 kms.

Here we show you a summary of a complex and exciting experience, which is difficult to put into words: we prefer to tell the story through images:

Thanks to all of you who made it possible: 8 young people with severe multiple disabilities, 40 volunteers, 8 adapted bicycles and 4 2-wheelers, 5 adapted vans and 6 support cars.

Special thanks to Arma Kleinepier, Anneke Integral Care Services and discaminovigo for your constant support and incredible organisation.

To our partners for the Camino de Santiago, thank you! Without your donations, volunteers and support, it would not have been possible: Ford Motor Company VamRaam, Zunder TRICIMad and Mobeo. And, of course, thanks to the donors who provided our adapted bikes: BBVA, Banco Santander Spain, Fundación “la Caixa”, Fundación Mutua Madrileña, Real Club de Golf La Herreria and Fundación Energía Responsable.

Yes we can!
