On Sunday, June 16, we participated in a fantastic event: the Bicycle Day organized by the City Council of San Lorenzo de El Escorial and the Escurialense Cycling Club.We brought our adapted bikes to the hermitage of La Herrería so that everyone could learn about this adapted leisure opportunity. Some families wanted to test them with their children, and many others looked at severe disability with “new eyes” when they saw how our children enjoyed sharing smiles on the adapted bikes.
It was a wonderful day in the heart of Madrid, and that is why we want to thank the event organizers and the volunteers who helped us: Luis, Lauren, Álvaro, Fernando, Flora, María, Jaime, Carlos, Francisco and A.Marie. Without your collaboration, such a fun and motivating day would not have been possible!
We also appreciate the help of the Red Cross staff, who stayed aware of any small “accidents” of the day.
